About Me
I'm a mom of three who has been helping others students as long as she remember. Building others up and cheering others on is my Jam. Even when I was young I wanted to help others who were struggling with math or science and when I finished my work I would go and see if I could help anyone else. I've travelled the many places in the world and taught in Korea, Australia, and Canada. I would like my students to know that I care, I care about them as individuals and their educational journeys. There are no problems, only solutions we haven't found yet and we can do anything together.
Education
Dalhousie University, Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada Bachelor of Arts, Advanced double major in Sociology and History from 1997 to 2001 Central Queensland University, Rockhampton, Queensland, Australia Bachelor of Learning Management from 2003-2005
Teaching Experience
I've been a tutor for fellow students during my BLM degree in Australia, I was an international student, but also has English as a first language so I was able to help other students improve their grades and their English skills. I was a ESL teacher in Korea from 2001-2002. For the last 4 years I did private tutoring for math and when substitute teaching I was known for my math skills and would often be used in the resource room to tutor math and science.
Interests
I'm a founding member and on the board of directors of a national organization in Canada. When I see voids or absences, whether it be in health care, education, or even just someone struggling to carry a heavy load, I don't wait for others to come along and do the work, I get involved. I am the change I want to see in this world, equity and justice are passions of mine. I'm a mother of three and supporting their educational journey is time consuming as well.
I love teaching and explaining science at every level!
